Welcome to Year 6! This is a really important year for children in Primary School as it is their final year before they embark on their journey at Secondary School. This year is all about developing independent and confident learners.
This term, Year 6 will be focusing on the concepts 'Community' and 'Identity'. We will be looking at what is on our doorstep and learning about Ellesmere Port's rich history. We will be exploring what it means to be part of a thriving community and how we can share our positive values to make it the best it can be.
In our reading and writing lessons we will be looking at a range of themes and conventions that run through popular stories and exploring how subtle use of language can affect an audience. We are also very excited to begin rehearsing our musical performances ready for our showcase in December.
