School Meals
Whats for lunch?
From Summer term 2021 we have switched to in-house catering. This new change means we have more control over menu choices whilst continuing to follow healthy eating guidelines. With the feedback received from parents, pupils and staff we have put together a new menu which changes on a 3 week cycle (please see 'Files to Download' at the bottom of this page).
We are pleased to announce that as our lunch service will be not-for-profit we are able to improve the quality of food as well as portion size. We will continue to offer 2 hot choices (hot option 2 is always vegetarian) as well as a jacket potato or a sandwich choice from our 'Deli Bar'.
FOOD ALLERGIES
If your child has any food allergies you MUST add this information to your SchoolGrid account; that way our kitchen staff are fully informed of any allergies. Please also let the school office know of any changes to your child’s dietary requirements.
ORDERING
We use the 'School Grid' system to order school dinners either in class or parents can pre-order at home. Please see file below for more information.
PAYMENTS
The cost of a pupil meal is £2.30. If your child is eligible for Free School Meals or is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 (UIFSM: Universal Infant Free School Meals) then there is no cost. To pay for school meals please log in to your School Grid account
PACKED LUNCHES
Alternatively, children may bring a packed lunch to school; packed lunches should have a balance of healthy foods and non-fizzy drinks. Drinks must be brought to school in an unbreakable plastic flask or container. We ask that you do not send your child to school with a glass container or bottle.
