Computing
At Rossmore, we believe that Computing is an integral part of the curriclum. Not only does it stand alone, but it is also woven through other subjects, supporting our cross-curricular approach. We want children to leave Rossmore equipped with the skills they need to live in a world where technology is evolving rapidly.
We teach the curriculum by uisng a variety of resources to include Mr Andrews Online and the Teach Computing schemes which we have adapted to fit the needs of our learners. Planning is progressive from year to year and always builds on previous learning. We teach computing skills explicitly before giving children opportunities to embed and apply this across other subjects in the curriculum.
We believe that children being safe online is vitally important and put this at the forefront of any work that we do with the children. We use E-aware to further promote online safety within our community.
